Sometimes, however, we have birthmothers who are not a good fit with our existing couples. In those situations, we open our search to families across the country.

If a family and birthmother are considering working together, their pairing is a lead.
After the birthmother and adoptive couple have met, the birthmother has been screened, both legally and medically, and all parties have agreed to the adoption, their pairing is a match. |

Jennie is a 29-year-old single mom with two young children. Her youngest is just eight months old, and she does not feel as though she is able to raise another baby. Jennie is 5’ 5” tall, 140 lbs with brown eyes and brown hair. She is beautiful and very intelligent and has completed some college. Jennie does not smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol but has smoked a small amount of marijuana during the pregnancy.
The birthfather is from Pakistan and unknown. The adoptive parent’s attorney will need to terminate his rights.
Jennie is looking for a family that will remain in contact with her after birth through letters and photos.
Jennie will consider heterosexual couples, lesbian or gay couples or single moms.

Alena is 33 years old, 5’ tall and weighs 140 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes and does not smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or use illegal drugs. Her medical care will be covered by Medical. Alena is a single mom with several children that she is raising on welfare. She says she just cannot raise two more and would like to find a loving family for the twins.
The birthfather is Hispanic, but his whereabouts are unknown. The adoption attorney will be responsible for terminating his rights.
Alena will consider all types of families. At this point she is not sure if she wants contact with the adoptive parents after birth.

Leslie is Hispanic, 5’ tall and weighs 110 lbs. She has hazel eyes and brown hair. She does not smoke or drink alcohol, but she did use some meth before she knew she was pregnant. She is a single mom and just cannot afford to raise another child.
The birthfather is part Filipino, part Hispanic and some African-American. Leslie does not know too much about his heritage, and she does not know where to find him.
Leslie is looking for a family that she can get to know during the pregnancy that will stay in touch through face-to-face visits, letters and photos after the birth.

As a single mom with three children, she knows she just cannot afford another child and wants to give a family the greatest gift in the world. Cindy would like to bond to the family during the pregnancy and stay in touch through letters and photos after birth.
